St Helena Sports Day Venue

About Our Venue

We are very pleased to have one of Readings top event venues as the home for St Helena Sports Day. Reading Abbey Rugby Club is proud to boast 2 fields for both camping and activities, working showers and a late night license so all the celebrations can go well into the early hours of the morning.

With close links to public transport and plenty of parking facilities also, Reading Abbey RFC is the ideal place for long St Helenian weekend of fun! 

Getting To Our Venue

Getting to St Helena Sports Day is very easy whether that's by public or personal transport. For more information on how to get to us, please see below for detailed directions.
By Car
​Please follow the signage leading up to the venue and the directions on your Sat Nav. When entering the venue please make your way down to the ticket office so we can direct you to your preferred campsite.

Parking
Parking is available in both campsites as well as near towards leading up to the clubhouse. Disabled parking is also available near the clubhouse.
By Train
​Reading train station is a 15 minute drive away from Reading Abbey RFC (please note: distance times may vary due to another event in the area).

Reading Station is served by many routes throughout the country including London Paddington and London Waterloo. 

The last trains leaving Reading train station are often incredibly busy and do not run late on Friday and Saturday night. Please leave extra time if you’re planning on using these services.

When going home by train, make sure you leave at least an hour to get to your train from the venue.
By Taxi​
​Taxis will be available from Reading Train Station. We only have one designated drop off point for when leaving your taxi. Our drop off point is our ticket office which will be clearly marked.
​By Bus
The nearest bus route to St Helena Sports Day is the number 25 which is operated by Reading Buses. It stops right outside the venue so you can make your way to our ticket office.

This bus can be caught from Reading Station.
