Making The Most Of St Helena Sports Day

Will there be any covered areas if it rains?
Of course. We have plenty of covered area available. Should there be any rain (hopefully not) there'll be plenty of shelter in the Abbey RFC Bar and The Marquee. There's plenty of space to sit down and enjoy the day even with a slight shower.

Can I bring my dog to St Helena Sports Day?
Unfortunately, dogs are not allowed anywhere on site apart from assistance/guide dogs. If you try and enter the event with a dog you will be denied access to the grounds. Should you be found with a dog within the premises then you will be asked to leave immediately.

Will I be able to re-enter the site if I leave?
Yes. Should you be wanting to leave the site for anything, all you have to do is show all of your passes at our ticket office to regain entry into the grounds.

Are there toilets on site?
Yes. Across the whole site, there will be plenty of toilets available as well as additional toilets in the Abbey RFC Bar and Clubhouse.

Are there showers on site?
Yes. Showers are located within Abbey RFC changing rooms. Please note: these are communal showers hence why we have allocated time periods for male and females. These can be found within the St Helena Sports Day program.

Are we allowed to bring a BBQ?
Yes - We allow both disposable and freestanding BBQ’s however these must be off the ground. If bringing a BBQ, you will need to have at least 2 litres of water standing by. Please note the disposable BBQs would need to be extinguished thoroughly and left to cool down before throwing away.

There won’t be any ATMs on site, the nearest ATM is located at 1-2 Cavendish Road, Reading, RG4 8XU. However, Reading Abbey RFC take card payments for any purchases within the club house.
